This article is about the political debate between vice presidential candidates. It gives a bit of insight onto what they talked about and describes it as an overall friendly debate. This article to me really shows and describes journies in modern day. Both of them are fighting for the White House and are trying to win their "battle". Also both of them have come very far to be where they are. They had to go through a lot in order to get chosen as a VP candidate. I think it's really cool how you can look at how far they have come, but also how far they have to go, especialy if they get elected. Once elected it seems like they have reached their destination but really, at that point, and journey of Vice Presidancy is just beginning. I think this is an article worth reading if you're at all interested in politics or what could happen in our country after the next election.

You present a good summary of the article and begin to connect its content to the topics we are covering in class (journeys, quests...). I also like how you gave your opinion on parts of the article. It would be nice if you added some quotes from the actual article to further prove some of your points (like the different candidates' journeys and what they've gone through).
The pressure and intensity that is put on the candidates for both president and vice president really is amazing. Since we don't hear very much about vice presidents during their term, its certainly possible that campaigning pressure rivals that of their actual duties as vice president! I can barely imagine how hard it is for all of the candidates to be scrutinized so heavily all the time. Since image is such an important issue in our culture, the rapid speed of the media certainly doesn't help politicians keep up a good image. I find politics pretty interesting... I just wish that I had more time for watching these debates instead of doing homework!
Well that was interesting... I just published that comment unaware that I was logged on as my mother :) So ignore the carrie... That was most definately me.
I agree that there is a lot of pressure on the candidates makes this journey a very hard one. Also reaching their destination is important to them. When I read this however I didn't see exactly what part of the article connected to what we were talking about in class. As Marion said, so quotes would help!
