It did bring up one thing I thought was surprising, "The truth is that most great photos first come as an interesting idea and then the photographer sets up the shot." I thought that was very interesting.
It also mentions bringing your camera everywhere and taking pictures of kids because they seem to be the funniest :). I think this article is really cool because it shows a different side of picture taking. When learning how to take good photos we tend to think of the beautiful scenery or emotionaly moving frames, but comedy is just as important. It is difficult to take a good humerous shot and I thought it was really cool to get some tips. I would advise reading this, especially if you are looking at expanding your picture taking.

This sounds like an interesting article! I totally agree with that even though people rely so much on how artistic their photos are, or how set up and perfect it is, they should just relax and take funny photos for the heck of it. I like how he mentioned to take your camera with you everywhere, and that kids are the funniest to take pictures of. I agree, and I also think that animals can be funny when taken of, because you never know what either will do in reaction to certain things. Great find!

Humor is a wonderful part of society and I'm glad that it is also a part of photography. I will have to use that tip about the children, that sounds about right. Those kids are crazy! I think it was nothing new though in this article that I didn't already know. I still thought it was nice to increase attention to humor in photographs though.
This article sounds interesting! I agree with you that we as kids always try and take pictures that are emotional or have beautiful scenery, but I think taking funny pictures is just as hard! I know that I'll be using the tips from this article in the future. I also agree with the idea that kids are extremely funny. I have little cousins and every time I see them I have a funny story to tell all my friends when I come home! Your post was awesome!
This is a great article, especially because it ties into what we're covering in class so well. You mention that the article says that certain camera angles can give a photo a humorous feel to them. I wonder which angles create this feeling (are they ones we covered in class or different?)
I like the idea of humorous pictures, since it seems like we've been taking everything so seriously during class. Your post reminded me of those 'trick' shots you can take that have funny results, like having one person stand in the background so they're tiny, and having another person stand in the foreground and position their hand so it looks like they're holding the first person up. Also, I agree that little kids are hilarious sometimes!
I think that it is a great idea just to bring a camera everywhere with you so that you can take pictures whenever an idea comes into your head. I agree that comedic photography is often overlooked by people; landscapes and emotional pictures are much more common. Also, I think it is really cool when someone can combine both an emotional lesson with comedy. It can make the idea more resonant with people.
What a great article! Also, nice job on connecting it with what were going in class! I agree with the article on how angles can make the picture humorous. By taking anything like upside down or diagonal, you can change the mood of the picture. I also agree with the statement that kids can be the funniest. I know that some of the most fun pictures I have are the ones with my friends and family. They seem to be more layed back and more fun. It's also interesting how it said people tend to think of moving or beautiful pictures as the type of picture they want. As good as those types of photos are, the fun pictures can be just as good if not better!
This sounds like an interesting article to read! I very much agree with your idea that humorous photos is every bit as much important as serious and moving photos. I liked your connection to what we are doing in class and how this brings a new aspect. I think children can be very funny but I think following a random child around and taking pictures of them because thay are funny may be not only slightly creepy but also illegal. Still though, I think this was a great idea for an article. In my opinion getting a picture to be "funny" is just as hard as creating a moving photo and therefore this is a important article.
